So I decided to do a drawing of an animal, more specifically a leopard! First, I looked at several images of leopards on the internet. Then, I began to do the drawing!
It probably took be about 30-40 minutes from start-finish. My favourite part of it was definitely drawing the eyes and the spots, of the animal. Below is a new section that I will start incorporating into my posts – a sort of evaluation section!
What went well:
- I think the different shading techniques (cross hatching, scribbling, normal shading, etc) make the end result look much more exciting.
- The eyes, and the spots look quite good.
What I would improve upon:
- Most importantly – the shape of the face isn’t very good. I need to draw out the placement of the features, then compare to to the reference images – that is something that I forgot to do!
