Shed in the back garden (again)!

I am sorry I haven’t posted for a while – I will try and get back into schedule now. Anyway here is my latest drawing. As you can see, it is of the shed in the back garden.

I have used many different shading techniques – smooth shading (in the roof), hatching (in the floor under the overhanging roof), scrawling/scribbling (in the trees) and stippling (in the windows and a tiny bit in the bush over in the top-right).

There are a few things hat could be done better. The door & windows are not quite straight, and the shading in the roof, fence, etc looks a little incomplete.

But on the more positive side, I have used observational techniques (aka holding the pencil in front of you, and then putting it on the page) to get roughly the right scale, and sizing.

Anyway, soon I might (not definitely) do another acrylic painting! I haven’t done one for a while now, so it’ll be fun to get back into it. I haven’t decided what to do yet – maybe something to do with caves, beaches, etc. If you have any ideas, please don’t hesitate to tell me in the comments!

That’s all for now, I hope you have enjoyed! If you have, you may want to follow me. I post about drawings, paintings, and sometimes more – so if you’re interested in that, please go ahead!
